About

Christah Belle Porter is a multi disciplinary artist and painter. Her abstract works explore and deal with themes of object hood, microbiology, the human body, and language. The repetitive patterns and layered forms in her work combined with lively colors evoke a sense of play. Sharp geometrical forms, paired with gentle curves propels her work forward in order to find balance within conflict.

Statement

“My work is an experiment. The finished piece is a road map back to the beginning, when there was only the white of primed canvas. Each layer I apply, each detail I add or obscure is an invitation to observe deeper. To look closer to the patterns and textures that make up quotidian life. An exercise of attention".
